Improve Gaming Performance - G3-3579
We bought my son this laptop before he started high school so that he could use it for gaming and for school. He is now asking for a better gaming computer, but that's not going to happen. Does anyone have any suggestions on what we could do to improve the specs/hardware to improve his gaming experience?

Since neither the CPU nor the GPU is upgradeable, that leaves either adding RAM, or if the system has a spinning hard drive, replacing it with a solid state drive. Either will boost overall performance, but the bottom line is that this system is decidedly a low-end gaming platform -- it's just not capable of being turned into anything but a casual gaming notebook.
