Inspirion 5593 Audio Issues

I have a specific pair of headphones, Riwbox XBT-880, and the audio from them sounds distorted, but only on my laptop. I've tried using my phone to see if it's the headphones, but the audio was completely fine, with no distortion or anything. It's hard to explain, but it sounds echo-y and just not right whatsoever (I'm not sure how to describe it, but I guess a good comparison is an early/low-quality microphone style, where you can tell the quality is low).

There was another problem (resolved but worth mentioning) where the headphones usually boot up and say "welcome to Riwbox headset. Bluetooth mode", "Bluetooth (dis)connected", and "Power off", but they wouldn't say the latter. This issue was resolved by just charging the headphones and then disconnecting-reconnecting, but there's still an audio problem.

This is a completely new laptop (I got it 4 days ago to replace a 2-year-old Chromebook) so I know age isn't the issue. If anyone has any advice please help, I'm utterly clueless!
