I also bought the same model two months ago and it's very slow even in basic functioning since day 1!
My old dell laptop from 2010 even works faster than this new so called 7th generation laptop.  Feeling very disappointed for spent money and frustration.  I need Dell to fix it ASAP.

You need to contact Dell technical support.

skumar2404,

How much memory does your computer have installed?
If your device is also having performance issues after updating it to Windows 10, here is how to easily fix the Windows 10 virtual memory management issues in a few steps.

Go to Start Menu > click on Settings.
Type performance > choose Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows.
In the new window, go to the Advanced tab and under the Virtual memory section, click on Change.
At the bottom of the new window, check what the Recommended value is and how it compares to Currently allocated.
If the current setting is significantly less than the recommended, uncheck the Automatically manage paging file size for all drives box at the top of the same windows and then click on Custom size.
Enter the Recommended value in the Initial Size box, and a larger figure in the Maximum size box.
Click OK to save the new settings.

You may want to consider adding more memory as well. Below  are the memory specs for the system.

Memory

Table 1. Memory specifications
Slots

Two SODIMM slots

Type

DDR4

Speed

2400 MHz

NOTE: The 2400 MHz memory works at 2133 MHz.
Configurations supported
Per memory module slot 2 GB, 4 GB, and 8 GB
  Total memory

4 GB, 6 GB, 8 GB, and 16 GB

Yup Me Too, I bought two of them for the kids (school) from day one very slow, would freezes up all the time. Update after update, every time you turn it on it’s almost nonstop. It’s got 8gb memory and I was thinking of throwing some more memory at it bringing it up to 32gb ($240) and a ssd 1TB ($120) but is it just throwing good money away? (I got a 7 yr old laptop that ) If everything falls to help I’m going to ditch windows 10 and load something not as taxing to it’s little brain

The Windows 10 updates are a pain in the butt, but you must let them install. They can take a while. Especially going from v1803 to v1809. If you don't wait, the next time you turn on the laptop, it will try to download and install the updates AGAIN.

I have 8 Gb of RAM with an Inspiron 15 3567 and its also very SLOW since the day 1. Sometimes the har disk appear to be at 100%. I have done everything possible to lower the SO load, even dissconect search service, turn off windows update and everything possible. The computer sometimes get useless due to autometic virus scan. Terribly dissapointed.

The other option would be to dump the windows operating system and install google.
getting rid of windows allowed the laptop to operate smoothly without the crashes and constant updates.
This allowed the two laptops that were trash to become school laptops during the pandemic

I completely agree, Dell has managed to get away by creating a slow processor board for this model.

I too had purchase this product Dell 15 3000 3567 ( Intel 7th gen i5 ) end of 2017 and this product has not been used by me since then due to slow response of the OS.

Am surprised how Dell has got away from the customers who purchased this product.

Your Dell computer may be experiencing a computer performance issue if you notice one or more of the following symptoms:

  • Computer takes a long time to boot into the operating system or stops responding.
  • Applications take a long time to load or respond.
  • Computer responds slowly or stops responding during user activity such as clicking and typing.
  • Computer takes a long time or stops responding during shutdown or restart.
  • Browsers and other applications stops responding or stops responding frequently.

The SupportAssist application optimizes your computer (including updating outdated drivers) to help resolve performance issues.

To run the SupportAssist application, perform the following steps.

  1. Press and hold the Windows key (

), and then press the q key.
  2. In the search box type SupportAssist.
  3. Select SupportAssist (App) in the list of results.
NOTE: When SupportAssist does not show up in the search results, go to the  SupportAssist for PCs and tablets page for information about downloading and installing SupportAssist.
  4. Touch or click Start Now to run the tests.
  5. SupportAssist runs the tests one by one and provides the results and suggested actions.
