You should be able to put it on your OneDrive and give us a link.  I don't know if I can make any sense from it unless it gives a reason for that error.  So, you may just want to look at it yourself, but if you want to share, I will check it.

The driver on my system seems to be different.  Mine is from 2020 and much larger.  The audio description looks the same, even has the same Realtek chip.

I will keep checking the links @fireberd suggested.

I was also wondering, when you uninstall the Realtek drivers if it also uninstalls the Waves utility?

Can I sent you a private message?

You should be able to send a private message, if you can't let me know.

I have the install log for my system so perhaps I can compare them.

@MasTeR69 Sent me a PM.  My response was, if you have done everything you say you have and what we suggested including all the 0001 error links and nothing works then its likely a hardware issue,

I've seen posts that the average laptop lifespan is 3 years.  Some last longer but average is 3 years.  The 5577 is from 2017 so its 6 years old.  Hardware problems can develop.

I will be replacing my 5577 this year.

@fireberd, I never got the log I requested.  Sound is not something which breaks that often, unless possibly it had been used extensively.  Plus, we know the sound is still working, although not well, it seems.

My normal re-install procedure is to take a system back to the Microsoft drivers.  When you check the box to remove the drivers, it removes the .inf file which may still be present.

And the drivers for my system are still working normally, even in Windows 11.

@Saltgrass My 5577 is still working perfectly in Win 10, including Realtek sound.  Mine has been used sparingly in my recording studio.  Only used a couple of times for client site recordings.

The user reports he has done everything suggested (I question that) and still has the problem.  Based on user report, the only thing left is some potential hardware issue.  We do not know how or what its been subjected to for the last 6 years in India.

@MasTeR69 The drivers I have were installed by Microsoft updates.

However, have you tried the ones in the Dell 5577 driver downloads?
