Inspiron 15 5577 missing wifi adapter after updates

I just upgraded my bios to the latest version and I also apparently got a windows update. The wifi was working perfectly until I shutdown the computer. Now it is like the wifi adapter is not even installed and does not show in the bios. I have reinstalled the bios firmware and done many of the other steps outlined in other posts. I was able to use my USB wifi adapter with no issues. Bluetooth appears to be functioning as normal. Another thing I noticed is when in the diagnostic F12 that the system assessment now says the wireless is not installed. Windows version is 1803 build 17134.407 and bios version is from 12/1/2018. Any thoughts would be appreciated
