Inspiron 15 7567 Webcam Driver

Question

Hello Dell Community,

In the past few months, I have been unable to use my webcam on my inspiron laptop. I ran a few different diagnostics but was unable to find a solution. However, the other day I noticed that the webcam driver wasn't actually present in my device manager. Thinking I had figured out the problem, I reinstalled the webcam driver from the inspiron support page. However, when I restarted my computer the driver still did not appear in the device manager and my webcam still did not work.

At this point, I am at a loss. I've seen that other people have had the same or a very similar issue to mine, but no one has been able to fix it. At this point I am thinking of just buying an external webcam for my laptop and calling it quits. Any amount of help that would save me from making a bad financial decision would be appreciated. I am running the latest version of windows and all my drivers are up to date.

@nyc10036  It worked up until a few months ago. That's why I am really confused. I can't figure out why it stopped working.

webcam are USB devices so apparently they can 'disappear' if there is no driver for it. In Device Manager try the Show Hidden Devices and see if it shows up

@nyc10036  I looked through and I still couldn't find the driver. All of my realtek audio drivers are there but the webcam driver is absent which I find to be very strange.

Just to set it straight, you downloaded the driver and the device "Webcam" does not show under Cameras or Imaging Devices in "Device Manager"
