Inspiron 15 7568 Cursor jumps randomly

Has anyone else experienced the cursor having a mind of it's own?  The cursor will move to the right hand side of the screen and shake uncontrollably.  I can regain control periodically for a second or two, but not long enough to do anything.  Most times, due to the location of this shaking, it will cause the notification bar to open - this just makes it even more aggravating!!  Does anyone have a solution?  I've disabled the touchpad when using a mouse, but that didn't help...  I haven't tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers yet.  Has anyone had success with that?

Sorry you never got an answer. It's not the touchpad, it's the touch screen. Under Settings (Windows 10), search for Tablet PC Settings, on the Display tab choose Calibrate. Follow the instructions. If that doesn't work, go to Device Manager, under Human Interface Devices look for HID-compliant touch screen and disable it. I had the same problem but Calibration of the touch screen resolved it. I know this is kind of late for you, but it may be helpful to others.
