Inspiron 15 R 5520, Battery charging is inconsistent

Question

I have Inspiron 15 R 5520 laptop, last year I replaced its battery and charger and bought original new one. Now Suddenly the system has started giving an issue that I don't understand the underlying cause of. The Issue is the battery is not charging consistently. When I plug in and it starts charging, then in a minute stops and starts again in couple of minutes and stop again and so on. the time interval is inconsistent and hard to find pattern. If I use the system without battery then it works just fine on direct supply, and if i use the battery then the same issue persists. I've checked the charger and battery as well, and they are fine. there's no sign of any damage or shots anywhere inside as well. Please advice.

Smaller power bricks have issues where they get flaky.
