Inspiron 16 plus production issues?
I always respected Dell as a company and their products.
I took advantage of a great sale and ordered an Inspiron "maxed out".
Received my laptop a few days later and - unresponsive out of the box.
Called tech support and pointed out the power indicator at front left next to Thunderbolt port came on briefly then went out. We went through the troubleshooting - "bad motherboard".
So they sent me a replacement.
Got the replacement in yesterday and EXACTLY the same issue. Power brick is functional, power light comes on briefly and then nothing. Pressing on the power results in not even a flicker of the screen.
Being a glutton for punishment I say send me a third one. Then they tell me three to four weeks for delivery.
So now I'm in talks about why I should have to wait at the end of the line when through no fault of my own I've had two defective laptops sent to me. If it doesn't show up by the end of the week I'm likely to cancel this order and go with another option.
Has anyone else had issues with a brand new Dell Inspiron 16 Plus? Surely it's not just me...
It's really sad - I have Dell machines from over a decade ago that still work so to have this with a new machine is worrisome.

You do not have to agree to wait -- ask for a refund. After two failures, consider a different model.

While I agree in principle it is the only (affordable) laptop with this particular feature set:
1tb SSD, 3060 Video, 3K screen, 32 gb RAM, i7
I got a heckuva deal with stacked discounts.
So I'd rather get the issues resolved rather than reject the deal out of spite. It certainly wouldn't hurt Dell's feelings. Although I will be near Dell HQ Friday so I may drop in for a chat...

I have similar issues with thunderbolt port as well, it's pretty random situation when the malfunction hits.
I also have a few other issues with this laptop and im not sure if i should pursue refund now or give them one more chance since my laptop still under warranty.
so glad that im not alone.
