Inspiron 3000 desktop

I have purchased Dell laptops for our home and have used them regularly as a teacher in public school. My complaint is about our home model. We have struggled with start up issues, lengthy times to log on and frustration with simple tasks since purchased. Dell sent us a new hard drive, no good results. We keep up on the updates, doesn’t matter. A friend dealt with the same issues on her’s. She just purchased a new laptop, not a Dell. I’m very hesitant to buy any Dell products now. What has the company done to deal with these issues? I see that the highest # of comments are concerning the Inspiron model. We can’t all be wrong.

First, you've posted to the laptop forum.

Whether laptop or desktop, be sure:

You have at least 8G RAM (16 better).

You have a solid state drive as your boot device.

If you have less than 8G RAM and/or are running Windows from a spinning hard drive, the performance will be slow going.  The only reason systems are still sold in that configuration is to offer a low up front price.
