Thanks for the suggestion I did the test and here's the result. It also popped up a message saying my battery is at the end of it's usable life so, rip? I have no errors saying anything about my ac adapter. I'm also gonna test to take out the battery for 3h and then charging it for all night
If the battery has not been charged in 3 years it is probably completely discharged and may not hold a charge anymore. Try a reset first. Disconnect the battery and unplug the adapter. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. Now reconnect everything and see if it will now charge. Also restart the system and at the Dell splash screen start tapping F12. Run full diagnostics and pay special attention to the battery results and adapter. It is possible that the battery will have to be replaced. I assume however, that the system boots and runs properly with the adapter plugged in? No warnings referring to the adapter? The flashing red light usually means the battery charge level is critical.
