Inspiron 5482 2-in-1 Hinge Issue

Question

Hi I'm reading everywhere these laptops are having hinge issues, is there a recall? Laptop is brand new almost but left side hinge it acting up causing the charging port not to charge... Thank you

That I am aware of there is no recall. And with a system that is out of warranty (roughly 4 years old..are you sure it is almost new) repairs would either have to be done by a local PC shop or by yourself. The parts are available at the Parts-People web site.

So many people are complaing that the hinges on this model are problematic, we barely used the laptop and it doesn't even have a scratch on it, shame on Dell for not taking responsability on this manufacturer's defect
