Inspiron 5565 with AMD A9, processor upgrade?

Is it possible to upgrade the processor so the laptop is Windows 11 compatible?

Happy to help out! And to elaborate on the CPU. The MBs for your 5565 have a soldered on CPU. And none of the MBs have a CPU that is Windows 11 compatible.
And that workaround is a great way to install Windows 11 on unsupported systems. I have a 4th gen Intel CPU on a system that is around 9 years old and Windows 11 runs very nicely and installed without a hitch.

You did not post the exact model number of your system but inasmuch as that CPU came out over 7years ago I would have to guess that the laptop you have cannot be updated to anything close to a Windows 11 compatible CPU. Having said that there are ways to install Windows 11 on systems that are not supported. This YouTube video has instructions on the procedure.

it's a 15 5565 , 4 1/2 years old. I'll look into that YouTube workaround. ty for reply...
