Inspiron 5570, error code 2000-0161
This is the error code I keep getting. I have a 14 month old laptop paper weight. Warranty expired August 3 and Dell wont stand behind its product. Seems quite the coincidence that after the warranty ran out the hard drive supposedly failed. Does anyone have any advise on this issue this is my 11 year old sons computer .

That is a drive failure code.
A new hard drive is less than the extended warranty would have cost you so even though the apparent problem is a failed drive you are $$ ahead.
But, before you install or have a new drive installed, open the back and check the power and data cable (may be one connector) at the drive. If fully installed "reseat" the connection (unplug then plug back in).
Just a personal comment, I can only imagine what that laptop has been through.
