Inspiron 5570 with a New Intel Optane Memory
The Intel Optane Memory on my Inspiron 5570 failed and I have replaced it with a new one that does not have Dell OEM drivers on it. Now when I turn the laptop on, it runs the system diagnostics and then says "No bootable device found." No issue is detected with the HDD. I tried the steps in Article Number: 000140714 to load the NVMe driver via Windows 10 Custom (advanced) install but my HDD does not show up on the list of locations to install Windows. My questions are:
- Would it be possible to pair the new Optane Memory with the HDD so the system can boot without having to format the HDD?
- Do I need to change the BIOS configuration from RAID to AHCI, format HDD, install a new Windows, and then change it back to RAID? If this is the case, can I simply use the system image backup I have instead of a fresh Windows installation mentioned in the article above?
Thanks in advance.
