Inspiron 7580, CPU temperature

Question

Does anyone else get CPU temps of 100 Deg before fans and throttling occur? Tried all Dell thermal management settings but to no avail. Seems the cooling fans don't cut in quick enough. Dell diagnostics found no issues with the hardware, but at this rate, with CPU reaching in excess of 90° on a regular basis, I will be needing a repair or a new laptop before the warranty is out. It's not a gaming machine, but it does do photo and video editing. Which it does very well. My first laptop and other than these issues, I am fairly impressed having moved from self build bespoke desktops. And why did Dell remove all other power settings other than BALANCED?

Because the Dell ePSA diagnostics pass, there is nothing wrong on a hardware level. You should not compare the Inspiron 7580 power settings, fans, temperatures, etc. to a different Dell model laptop. Like that other user was doing with his Inspiron 7580 and Inspiron G3 Gaming laptop. Apples and oranges. The
i7-8565U CPU maximum temperature allowed at the processor die is 100°C. You have a long warranty through 2020. If some hardware component does fail, we will fix it.

Thanks for the reply. I hope I never have to use the warranty to be honest. Very happy with the laptop otherwise ,great machine and remarkably powerful.  Cheers .

An update.. Well after a black screen and being unresponsive ,I sent laptop for check and repair. Turns out intel graphics chip is fried and the laptop got far too hot. Repair centre replaced motherboard and a faulty fan. Not best pleased as it's only 6 weeks old ,and repair centre have yet to deliver it ,but they have worked quickly to repair it ,although the motherboard had to come from Dell and took a while. I hope it lasts for as long as I want it now ,lost confidence in it to be honest. NO more Dell bios updates for me and the software will be removed / replaced with a vanilla Windows 10. Fingers crossed.
