Inspiron G7, overheating

I have a Dell G7 and I have some issues with the overheating of my laptop. When I play a game without having my laptop plugged to the charger it runs slowly and with a poor performance. But when I play a game while charging it runs in a good way. But the problem is that it overheats the laptop and does a loud noise coming from inside the computer, I was wondering if this is normal?
