Keyboard issue
Hello,
I am facing some issue with my Dell keyboard. I was advised by your Technician located in the Asia Pacific that the only way to solve the problem is to replace the keyboard.
My Dell warranty has expired and I felt that Del is overcharging the entire service of replacement.
Therefore I would like to understand what is typically the charges for such service?

There's no way to answer without knowing what model system you have - keyboards vary in price, as does the labor time to replace.

The cost of a keyboard is between $20-30 in the US; add whatever an hour's labor costs in your area to come up with the total cost -- in the US, expect a shop to charge between $50 and $100 total for the job, depending on location.

Ignore the spammer.
Take the system to a local computer shop to get another estimate for repair if you're not happy with Dell's repair estimate cost.

Have you run a systems diagnostics yet? Please run Dell SupportAssist, make a note of any error messages encountered and post back.
