Keyboard not working properly

I have had a Dell Inspiron laptop for about 3 years and last year had to have it sent into dell for repairs to the battery and charger. Never had any problems after receiving it back it worked fine and I never had any problems. The last month has been an exception... I now can´t even type a full sentence. It started with the keyboard typing multiple letters when it was only quickly pressed once. I installed a driver program that fixed it for a few days, but then it came back worse. Instead of typing multiple times, now certain keys won't work some of the time. It started with it happening with the A key a few times a day and I would have to spam click it for a few seconds until it would work again. 2 weeks later and the almost 40% of the keys don't work at all anymore, or have to be spammed for 30 seconds until it will work. The shift keys do nothing anymore and I end up using the on-screen keyboard for everything. I have tried changing the drivers and did full factory settings restart but to no avail. Also, my "About" page lists the device name as DESKTOP-HTT039H, even though it's an Inspiron laptop... and the device ID and Product ID both show nothing in the DELL website search or on google... I'm on windows 10. Please Help! I tried cleaning and that did not help. Thanks!

Attach an external keyboard - if it works OK, the internal keyboard will need to be replaced.

If you need assistance locating the replacement part, post the full model number of the system (i.e., Inspiron 7737, etc.).
