Keyboard problem only with specific KEYS

Hello,

When I press some keys in combinations with "L" some other key is typed in between. This is very odd, let me show you an example:

Writing "del" spits "deol"

Writing "deo" spits "delo"

Writing "vfl spits "vf.l"

This happens only if I type really fast. If I type slowly "del" with half a second between letters theres no problem, it writes "del" or "deo" perfectly fine. I found out this when I wanted to let a friend know I got a Dell Inspiron 7570 laptop... I was trying to write dell and I was getting only deoll... what an irony.

Please tell me there's some way to fix it through software and the replacement of the whole keyboard is not needed. Or at least just the letter "L" needs to be replaced as I see it is causing most of the problems. So, keep in mind it only types another letter only in 3 or 4-keys succession ending in "L" - and only happens if I type fast.

Another example, let me type "dekl" fast a few times to see what I get: deikl deilk deilk dkl deilk deikl deikl dilke dilke dilke diokel deikl deilk. Weird. Let me type "DEKL" with shift pressed down a few types to see what we get: DEILK DEIOKL DEIKL DILKE DEILK DEILK DEILK DIOKLE DILKE DIOKLE DEIOL.

So the example is confirmed again: typing L in combination with some other keys in a speedy way will give me some other keys in between. Typing GEL gel gel gel I see no problem. Only happens for certain combinations.

Thank you!

Anyone? Any ideas please? Should I try to unscrew the keyboard and clean it since its definitely a hardware problem? Will it help? I see no way to fix it through software...

I'm having the same exact problem.

I actually returned a Dell computer to Costco because of that.

Now I have a different Dell computer at work that is doing the same thing, even though it is a different model with a different CPU. Even as I typed this reply, "model" became "modeol".

I can reproduce this easily.

I also confirmed that this is not a Windows problem. I booted into UFEI (successor to the BIOS), went to a text field (Asset tag), and typed "DEL", but "DEOL" appeared.

As stated here, this only happens when I type quickly.

Has anyone found a solution?
