Laptop Keyboard not working properly

Hi, first time poster her. Lately my Dell Laptop keyboard hasn't been working properly. The best way to describe it is my goving examples.

Caps lock counts as a back slash character and mutes/unmutes the laptop

Backspace brings up and closes the search bar

T doesn't put the letter t down by itself, instead gt5

Y puts down hy6 

I am confused and frustrated by this as it makes typing extremely hard, as using the on screen keyboard is slow and cumbersome when you're working on something.
