Laptop Power Plugs
I know this is a bit of a weird question but I want to know. Does anyone know when Dell first introduced the smaller power connector on their laptops? I noticed it is only on the smaller computers and not the bigger systems like the Alienware. Next what years was the squareish power plug on the older Dells used until? The last question is were there any other laptop power plugs besides USB-C, the smaller and bigger round plugs and the square plug. I can't seem to find any official names for them so information is hard to find.

Welcome to the Dell Community @computerfixer673
4.5mm "Small Barrel" circa. 2015
My Precision 5510 uses one.
The Squarish power plug "Home Plate"
Latitude Cxxx series circa 2000.
There are others and when I get to work in the morning I'll see what else I can find.
I even remember seeing a Polygon or Octagon barrel adapter???
Let you know then.
Best regards,
U2
NOTE:
I have around 100,000 AC adapters stored in my warehouse.

The (I think) hexagon shaped one is found on the Inspiron 1545 and maybe one more model. It was very uncommon if I recall. Thank you for the Information about the square plug!
