Did you make any changes to the computer prior to the issue?

Did you install all the updates in the computer?

The issue could occur if there are incorrect power settings on the computer and also because of incompatible display drivers.

Please follow the below steps to troubleshoot with the issue:

1 . Select “Settings” from the Start menu, then click the “System” option.

2. Click “Power and Sleep” from the list of options. Make sure that the options under “Sleep” are set to a desired value.

3. Click “Additional Power Settings” under “Related Settings.” You will be redirected to the control panel.

4. Select “Change Plan settings” under your chosen power plan. Then click “Change advanced power settings” from the resulting screen.

5. On the “Power Options” window, expand each setting to make sure nothing is preventing your computer from going to sleep.

6. Once you are done, click “Apply” to save your settings. This should fix the problem for you.

I am also recently experiencing the same thing, and my laptop is 1 year old, it should not be giving me problems like this.

I have a Dell Inspiron 7506 2n1 (little over a year old) that does the same thing. It goes to sleep right in the middle of using my computer. The good news is that it returns right back where I left off when I press the power button. This wouldn't be good however if you're right in the middle of a live video chat or doing a presentation at work.

Same! I have the same exact model and it happens to me in cycles: 3 times in one day after no problems for several weeks. I have checked all the settings and run all diagnostics to no avail. Following here to see if we get any assistance. Thanks for posting.

This is REALLY annoying my Dell Inspiron does the same at least once a week - in the middle of work and many times in the middle of a live call. I am connected to power and the battery is full. My power settings is to never sleep or turn off the screen while plugged in. Is there any resolution to that ?
It's really embarrassing when it happens in a middle of a call with customers.
Not good, Dell !!!
