I suspect the message said ' Hard drive needs to be replaced'? Try running the diagnostic tool to check the hard drive and other hardware within the system. You could do this by following steps below.

1. Power off computer

2. Power on computer, quickly start tapping the F12 continuously until you see Preparing one time boot menu in the top right corner of the screen. In Dell Preboot menu, select diagnostic. After the quick tests finished, select Hard drive and then Thorough Test Mode. Report back any error code.

I had the same alarm that you described on 11/2/24. It was a white screen with a barcode and said something about the hardware. When I closed the laptop, the white screen transferred to my monitor, and the beeping continued. What could this be, and how do I fix it?
