Missing functionality after Dell G15 BIOS update
After BIOS update to BIOS v.1.4.2, USB-C output will utilize only the dedicated graphics card (RTX 3060 laptop) for video output, NOT the iGPU.
For me this is a problem, because there are many times that I connect to external monitor and I prefer to utilize the internal graphics card. That way, I can have low power consumption and no fan noise at low loads.
Has anyone have an explanation how and why this has happened?
Notes:
- BIOS update 1.3.3 enabled the built-in MUX switch. While at BIOS 1.3.3, I could use the iGPU when connecting to USB-C output.
- Laptop’s model is Dell G15 5511.
