Power down your laptop.
Power down your cable modem and router.
Wait 1 minute.
Turn on just the cable modem.
Then turn on the router.
Turn on your laptop.

restart router to reset .

That worked! I unplugged the wireless router and then it worked (had just unplugged modem before). Thanks!

Glad it is working for you again.
It is a good idea to do this periodically. I always turn off my cable modem and router every night.
