Nvidia Card not Detected & Support Assist

Nvidia Card not Detected & Support Assist Issue

Hello,

My Nvidia appeared t be fine yesterday, but today, it seemed to have disappeared. Also, when I attempted to use Support Assist, It tells me I need three updates, but it is not installing.

I have a Dell G7 using Windows 10 with 64 bit OS.

Assistance will be greatly appreciated

Just the Intel Intel(R) UHD Graphics 630 It was a real adventure. It asked for a bitlocker key. I went o my Microsoft account and there were 5 different numbers and which none of them worked. Eventually, I learned i can suspend it and I was finally able to get to safe mode. I wasted 25 minutes of my life. LOL

Boot the system in safe mode and open the device manager.  Under Display Adapters, are both GPUs showing, or just the Intel GPU?

Ok, ran Diagnostic

It stated that there were "two or more errors."

During the testing at the top it had a warning: One or more Thermal sensors were out of range

During the test i received the following popup: Battery: The battery is reaching the end of its usable life. Continue testing.

I clicked, "yes."

On the next page, everything had a "checkmark" except for Primary Battery which displayed a "hazard" type sign.

At least for the duration of your troubleshooting, you may want to disable bitlocker.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/bitlocker/disable-bitlocker?view=windowsserver2019-ps

Run a full system diagnostic as well (F12 at powerup).

In order to point you to the service manual, we need the full model number -- i.e., G7-7588, etc.

If the system is in warranty, record the error message(s) and the accompanying validation codes so you can contact Dell for repair.

I have no idea what you are writing. I have a laptop. If you are talking about opening up the laptop and doing something, I will have no idea how to do that.

In the past I have replaced two AC adapters. (Replaced one this year and one last year)

I have GX installed. Right now, it will not run becuse the system is telling it, I do not have Nvidia. I didn't do any installing. I have attempted to update the system, but as i stated in the OP, it is not letting me do this now.

The battery is a separate issue -- though it clearly needs to be replaced, it doesn't affect the other issue.

Make sure the system is internally clear of dust (and you may want to consider replacing the thermal pads that sit between the CPU/GPU and heatsinks).  Once that's done, re-run the diagnostics.  If you see the same error, the system board needs to be replaced.

Have you tried running a clean boot and made sure the Nvidia service was running?
