OS Restore Tool Problem
I followed the instructions in "How to Download and Use the Dell OS Recovery Image in Microsoft Windows" to recover my Dell Inspiron 5770.
Everything went as described until Step 3 in the "Windows10 Installation" instructions;
The recovery flash drive was inserted fully into the USB port. I powered the system down, then up, then pressed the F12 key until the "Preparing One Time Boot" menu appeared.
There was no USB drive choice. Thinking the USP port was bad, I switched to another port and rebooted. Still no USB drive. Has anyone had this problem. If you did did you find a solution. Any and all input will be welcomed.

Most likely problem is that the USB was not prepared for UEFI system which is what you have.

Newb here. I tinker some and decided it would be a good idea to replace a crashed hard drive with a ssd. Its a n5110 with vista. Crashed 7 years ago, I just held on to it. Installed the ssd, without issues. Ran diagnosis. All passing. No errors.
I did, however, years ago, a few months before the hdd crashed, made a backup copy of the entire system. So I do have that. Aside from that, I have been asking google endless questions regarding boot procedure. I am getting confused. I have gathered a good amount of "tools" and "Zips" from dell and forums, but am unsure of which order, usb 3.0/2.0, sequence or specifics need adhered. Here is what I do know...
bios a09, i have svc tag and original product key, intel i3-235 om /2.3 ghz, SPCC SSD (512g), sata odd HL-DT-ST-DVD+-RW GT60N, SATA operation ACHI, and after boot...... i get nothing.
I have read about windows media tool, pen drives, bootable disks and recovery options galore. The closest to my issues would be getting the ssd formatted to be able to read and accept data from my backup drive, which is on a 500g external. I am assuming that i will need to get the primary dos mode onto the ssd, in which will allow further data and programming to continue. Can someone point me in the correct direction so that I may C:/

N5010 should have Legacy BIOS.
Use Media Creation Tool to create bootable USB for Legacy BIOS. Should work fine. I have no problems installing Windows 10 to SSD on numerous models of laptops I buy used on eBay.

I used the Dell OS Restore Tool as directed. Here's the weird thing. I plug the flash drive into a USB port on my Lenovo desktop and I can see it when I press F12. Why can my Lenovo see the drive but my Dell can't.
