If the computer is out of warranty there is no need to transfer ownership. If you have moved to a diff country, the computer must be returned to original country for warranty service. That often is not possible nor cost effective.

So this is the issue I am having. You see on bottom right side the bezel is coming out from display panel. I have purchased this laptop about a month and a half ago from India before coming to Canada for studies. I am completely an indoor user as my classes are online so I never take the device outside. Sometime, last week when I opened the flap of the machine to boot it the bezel got stuck in the gap between the keypad panel and display panel. Mind you, I had closed the flap about ten minutes ago and it was working fine then. I initially contacted Dell support and they told me to get the warranty transferred to North America to receive support. So I initiated the process to transfer the warranty and I would like to have it completed fast so I can deal with the real issue.
