 look at the current memory and look for a label that says something like "4GB ddr3" if it says DDR3 get DDR3 ram if it says DDR4 get that type of ram

Hi,

Is the laptop new or older i have a Inspirion thats ram is easy to access but new computers are harder to replace the ram on I think it is under the bottom of the laptop if there are no covers that are not part of the main bottom its under the cover. If it has multiple doors its likely to be under a door
