Question on Inspiron 16 plus

One of the variants has an i7 processor + RTX 3060, but has lower power limits and thinner chassis than a gaming laptop. If I’m a casual gamer into titles like D2R and Resident Evil 8 instead of AAA or esports, would it be ok to get an Inspiron 16 plus over a gaming laptop? The screen is just much better than the gaming laptops in the price range and is a bit more portable.

BTW, are there any known quality issues relating to this model apart from the trackpad?

Not sure how those titles can run, but you can play some games on it pretty well. You can watch some youtube videos of this laptop running various games to see how it performs, it actually doesn't do to badly. Generally 60 FPS at full resolution, from what I heard. I'd suggest getting yourself a decent cooling pad though.

Known issues:
 - Trackpad
- Very low quality thermal paste. If you don't replace it this thing will run hot.
- Some people complained about the hinges, idk mine feels like it's built very solidly.
- Often if you close the lid to put it to sleep, it will get real hot and you'll hear the fans running. In just an hour or two the whole battery will be run down, often you open the lid and it's running some weird diagnostic from the BIOS. You can fix this by enabling S3 sleep via the registry (Windows 10 and 11 run S0 sleep by default, thank you Dell for keeping S3 for this thing).
