If you want to see the comprehensive specs on your machine, download cpu_z from cpuid and run as administrator. Go to the last tab and export the report in HTML format and load into your browser. You can even read the manufacturer and part number of the OEM memory.

When you reboot into the BIOS you will see 2 slots of 8G and it will be in dual channel mode.

I installed the same Crucial RAM and it works just fine.

Tip: use a plastic guitar pick or something similar to pry apart the lip of the bottom cover once you have all the screws removed.
