Reinstall Windows 10 after Stuck in Preparing Automatic Repair...
Hi, like many, my Inspiron 5559 got stuck in "Preparing Automatic Repair" and after trying all the solutions suggested online but in vain. I tried hard reboot more than 3 times and my computer just won't go into repair mode. The next thing I can do is reinstall Windows 10. I have my Media downloaded in the USB, recover my BIOS, reset BIOS, set the boot sequence, then restarted my computer. When it started I hit F12 and saw my USB under UEFI so I chose USB and hit enter. The Windows logo appeared briefly then the screen turned black with dots running horizontally in the upper part of the monitor, and remained this without progressing to reinstallation. I have performed ePSA diagnostics and no error code appeared, showing all hardware are working. Appreciate if anyone can help

Windows 10 uses the Boot Menu, not the bios to change boot device. Start tapping F12 as soon as you restart without waiting for any screen to get to the boot menu. Choose the bootable usb thumb drive or disk that you burned with the iso file you downloaded. I think you skipped that step. You cannot just copy the file to disk or drive.
All the directions are at Create Media Tool page- HERE

You haven't mentioned running the hardware diagnostics, which would be the place to start.
To run a screen diagnostics, hold the D key through powerup. Do you see the same fault you've described on the test screens? Or are they OK?
Next would be a full diagnostic - F12 at powerup to get in. Let all the quick tests run, and then boot to the full diagnostics and run an extended test on the memory and the storage drive. The latter will take up to several hours if you have a spinning hard drive of 1G or more capacity.
Reply with any numeric errors your see (2000-0146, etc.).

Did exactly that. Didn't work. Any other tips?

Ran that, too. The only issue is battery reaching end of life. But that alone shouldn't be the problem of booting and reinstallation. Right?
