Replace SSD 7591

I just bought an Inspiron 7591, I would like to replace the 512Mb SSD with 1TB SSD. Which brand and model is compatible with this laptop? Are they all the same?

Welcome to the Dell Community @gk48

Do you have a 2.5" SSD or an M.2 SSD ???

Would you want to have an M.2 SSD for boot and apps.

Then have a second SSD for "Default" storage???

Best regards,

To get this information you need to log on to  Dell Support, enter your model number, and most importantly Enter your Service Tag Number.

That will open all the hardware information on your Particular notebook, You should download and read your Service Manual there you will find out how to open your notebook

On your support page, there will be a Specification page that will show you exactly what drive's you currently have.

There will be a section that explains storage upgrades to replacements

m2. NVME will upgrade to  up to 2TB

2.5 format SATA SSD will upgrade to 4TB

Formats are what is critical.  Samsung is top fo the line SSD's of all types, other brands are cheaper in most cases and a mater of personal choice.
