Replaced Battery, doesn't recognize the correct AC Adapter.
I replaced a dying battery for my Inspiron 15 7000 three days ago and it's not recognizing the adapter that was working just fine before. It's read as "unknown" in BIOS and I get a warning about it not providing a sufficient charge whenever I insert it despite being a 130w adapter. The battery is the right model, the adapter is the right model, but the latter isn't charging the former and as of now my charge is at 28%.
Some computer specialists I know suggested that I'd buy a new adapter since I used it so often and so long for a deteriorating battery that it might have to be replaced too, but between the virus reducing shipments and me having a severely reduced income, I want to know about what my options are in solving this before making a purchase. It sounds like it might be some sort of software issue, but this is beyond my expertise. Incidentally, the charger was working when I brought the laptop home and let it charge for a bit, but that's all it's done so far.
