Thank you for your message. I will be glad to assist you on this.

Please uninstall all Support Assist, Support Assist Agent, PCDr, PC-Doctor & MY Dell Support center folders from

  1. C:\Program Files (x86)\Dell
  2. C:\ProgramData
  3. %APPDATA%
  4. C:\Windows\Temp

Ensure the "Dell SupportAssist" service and DDV services are not present in Services.msc

For my reference, please click on the message tab next to your avatar– click “New Message” & search for my Dell username (Dell-Sreejith R) & send a private message with the service tag, registered name & email address.

What is a Dell Service Tag and how do I locate it?

I've tried everything mentioned uninstalling ServiceAssist but when I tried installing ServiceAssist again I received the same message:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Installation cancelled

We encountered an unexpected error while installing SupportAssist. This may be due to a lost insternet connection. Check your connection and try again.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is nothing wrong with my internet connection.  Also, SupportAssist  use to work then one day it was gone. So now, I'm having this issue.

Hi fessmm,

Thanks for posting.  Apologies you are having problems with Dell SupportAssist.  Please be sure you've deleted all instances of the program from your computer.  You may have to use a 3rd party program/file remover to do this.  (some customers have reported up to 3 instances running)

Once all the program has been removed, then reinstall the SupportAssist, it should work now.

If you still require assistance and the system is under warranty, you may contact me privately. Be sure to include your personal information (name, address, telephone, email) and your computer's service tag number in your message. Thanks.

If there is no warranty, then you could contact our Out of Warranty team to get a quote for a paid service request.

Regards,
Robert
