Update failed, and can't force shut down my laptop, a Dell G3.

Hi, I got another problem with this Dell G3 Laptop. Yesterday I got an update, and I agreed to update that G3 3500. I told it to "Update and Shut Down" I am sure I selected that option, but when it's done, it just gave me a pitch-black screen. Wait for a few minutes doesn't help. So I hold down the power button, but holding like a minute, it STILL freezes. So I disconnect the charger (because it is 20% of power) and knowing that when the laptop is 2%, the laptop will force a reboot. Sure enough, it restarted. So I use my WinPE, called SuperPE to reinstall Windows because I HATE error screens unless I'm on a VM. But I STILL can't force shut down, even on a WinPE.

What should I do? And what should I do to prepare for this emergency?

Dang

If you re-installed Windows 10, you should go online and get all the updates.

Did you install 21H1 ?

Did you just reboot or do a hard shutdown? Do a complete shutdown, wait a bit and then start again. Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter if that doesn't work.

Make sure to plug in the adapter anytime you update. Do not use the battery alone.
