Using FN with F1 key
As I use my laptop for presentations I'm finding it annoying when using the FN key with the F1 key as I cannot view my laptop desktop or the Power Point presentation except via the TV or projector when plugged in with the HDMI or VGA lead. Please advise

I'm not sure what the Fn+F1 key combination does on your system since you didn't mention your laptop model (on my system, Fn+F1 is the Mute command), but it sounds like you're setting your system up to display only to the external display rather than using mirror or extend mode. So next time you have an external display/TV connected, instead of using that key combination, hold the Windows key and press "P" (for "project") to bring up a sidebar that will allow you to choose from various options. Duplicate will mirror content between your displays, but if you're using PowerPoint you might prefer Extend, because then in PowerPoint you can go to your slide show settings and specify that the normal presentation should be displayed on the external display, while the "presenter's view" should be displayed on your internal panel, which will allow you to see any notes you've added and I believe even the next slide.
