Vostro 3500 new laptop sleep/wakeup problem

My new Dell vostro 3500 with Win 10 have sleep wakeup issue from the very first day of use... Always I have to force shutdown the laptop, losing unsaved data.
Since it is brand new I don’t think it  requires any BIOS or chipset update as solution given by Dell...

any other solution pls advise

I have the same problem with my new Dell Vostro 3500 i5 11gen. When I put my laptop to sleep. After 20 mins the laptop starts to make a fan noise due to CPU heating extremely. After I press the power button to 5 to 6 seconds the laptop will force shutdown losing my unsaved data. When powering on, the laptop goes to bios prompting me to scan the memory. After scanning bios does not detect any issues. I have tried replacing it with a brand new ram, updating/downgrade the bios but still, this issue persists.IMG_1176.jpg

Ongoing issue, you didn't need to replace memory

Just search internet and you find this memory error on Hundreds of the computer.

Open CMD as admin

powercfg /setdcvalueindex scheme_current sub_none F15576E8-98B7-4186-B944-EAFA664402D9 0

powercfg /setacvalueindex scheme_current sub_none F15576E8-98B7-4186-B944-EAFA664402D9 0

Now in order to validate commands ran properly

Powercfg -a

Output of the command should say Network Disconnected

If this doesn't work, you will have to do use hibernation over sleep to avoid this error message until dell releases a fix.

After hours of debugging, I may have found my solution.

In the windows feature section, I just unticked SMB 1.0/CISF server and SMB Direct and restarted the pc and now the laptop now sleeps and wakes as desired.

I did by reinstalling the windows and updating the drivers from dell driver software but the problem is still there even after I have replaced the laptop with a new one with the same model. I think its a manufacturing defect even after latest bios update to 1.7.1

When laptop is gone to sleep, if i plug the power, then laptop wakes for couple of seconds and again goes to sleep.

I was watching movie and put the lid down, the laptop goes to sleep. If I charge the battery, then laptop wakes up couple of second and again goes to sleep. When laptop is untouched, then after 20 mins laptop starts to heats up, fan spinning at 100%, laptop does not wake up, I eventually press power button for 3 seconds and laptop restarts losing my unsaved work.

Hello, I know this is an old thread, but the working solution is to turn off fast startup.
Go to Control Panel -> Power Options

Trust me, the only solution to the lagging/freezing/sleeping problem with DELL VOSTRO 3500 model is to fix a 256 GB SSD card in the slot provided inside. The Hard disk need not be removed.

I also went through this frustration for more than a year and had to struggle with Dell customer service. It cost me around ₹ 3300/- at a local shop. They will install the Windows 11 in the SSD card. Now my laptop is running like a horse.
