Why is my NEW Inspiron 14 3476 starting up so slow?

Hi, Why is my NEW Inspiron 14 3476 (Purchased last week) taking so long time about 5mins for everytime start up? It is not acceptable. Anyone knows what happen?

Probably because it is doing Windows 10 updates which you aren't letting it run.

Hi. There is no update running in background. It's new laptop starting up without internet connection. Tried few times restart and this issue still there.

After start up, the laptop disk showing 100% more than 10 minutes.

Hard drive high usage after start-up would suggest that Microsoft security centre / antivirus is doing a scan ,this happens after most start-ups I've found. Check your start up programs and delete / disable the ones you don't need and try again. OR Try booting in SAFE mode and see if it is any quicker ,if it is then it will be a software issue not hardware.

Windows has a delayed (background) installation (finishing process) process that can run for up to an hour or more. In Task Manager, select the Details tab, then click the "CPU" - this sorts the processes by CPU use. Normally when you are not running anything you should see System Idle as the process as the first process. .If you find something that is consuming a lot of CPU time, then google the name of the process to see what you find.
