Wireless Function Key Not working

So I just accidentally hit the wireless function key and turned off my wifi. Normally wouldn't be an issue right? The problem is that it now won't let me turn it back on.

I've tried pressing said function key again, to no avail. Troubleshooting menu just tells me to turn it on manually which is the problem. I can't seem to find any way to turn it on from the software.

Going to Network Settings > Wi Fi allowed me to hit 'On' but its not actually turning it on.
