Your Battery Has Experienced Permanent Failure
My laptop is Dell Inspiron 13 5000 Series, its about 1year and 4month old. One day i open my laptop a message appear which is "Your battery has experienced permanent failure and needs to be replaced. Your pc will power off when the AC plug off". but when i plug off the ac my laptop still can stay about few hour. What can i do? Is it can claim warranty? Any idea to solve this problem except to really change a battery?

The warranty on the battery is the same as the whole system, which means 1 year. And the only thing you can do is replace the battery. You can use the system with the ac adapter but as you know, when you unplug the adapter the system will shut down. While you have a failed battery do not do a BIOS update, as any power interruption could render your system unusable if the BIOS is corrupted.

What is the exact model number of your computer? 5000 is a series but a model number would be something like 5379. However the 5000 series generally uses the same battery which is a WDX0R.
