can I overclock the Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1065G7 processor from 1.3GHz to 1.6GHz
I have an Inspirion 5593 and was wondering if it is possible to overclock my processor to 1.6GHz for the base? What I observe in the BIOS menu, tells me that the system base is 1.3 but when under load it will "boost" up to 3.2 with whatever proprietary, trademarked setting is either set on/off(the name of this setting is escaping me right now). I beleive I am SOL, because this is a locked chip??? Or is there a workaround and a nice utility that will make my tiny little adjustment simple? I am only looking to squeeze that extra 300MHz out. Even if no utility available, if there is a way to unlock the settings I shouldn't have to make too much adjustments to the voltage, multiplier, etc to gain the extra. Please help.

Hello. Thank you for writing to us. I have replied to you in private message. To answer your question about any possibility to unlock the chipset to overclock the processor to reach 1.6GHz, Dell strongly recommends not to overclock the processor and unfortunately we do not have an option to unlock the chipset to do so as this could lead to additional failures.
