cant connect to led tv through hdmi cable
i am having inspiron 5558 and i cant connect through hdmi cable my screen gets blank or u can say it gets off when connected to hdmi cable what to do ?

You have to select External Monitor on the computer. A tv is not seen as a monitor until you select that. Reference Guide.

As after reading your steps
when i turn on my laptop connecting hdmi cable to tv the laptop screen goes black or off when iit gets on and if i remove cable it gets on
in this situation what should i do
