If the mouse pointer on your Dell Inspiron 14 5425 laptop is shaking or not moving properly, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Check the mouse or touchpad settings: Go to the Windows settings >> Devices > Mouse or Touchpad. Make sure that the pointer speed and sensitivity are set appropriately, and that any scrolling or gesture settings are configured correctly.

  2. Clean the touchpad: Sometimes, dust or dirt or oil on the touchpad can cause the cursor to behave erratically. Use a soft cloth to clean the touchpad and see if that helps.

  3. Disable touchpad delay: If there is a delay before the touchpad starts working, it can cause the cursor to appear to shake or stutter. Go to the Windows settings and navigate to Devices > Mouse or Touchpad, and then disable any touchpad delay settings.

  4. Update drivers: Outdated or corrupt touchpad drivers can cause issues with the cursor. Go to the Dell support website and download and install the latest touchpad drivers for your laptop.

  5. Scan for malware: Some malwares can interfere with the touchpad or mouse settings. Run a malware scan on your laptop using your  antivirus software.

If none of these solutions work, it is possible that there is a hardware issue with the touchpad or mouse. In this case, you may need to contact Dell's customer support for further assistance.
