inspiron 3580 cannot change resolution

hello,

I have a dell inspiron 3580. It came with ubuntu which i replaced with windows 10 ( currently version 1909).

At settings/system/display i cannot change display resolution from 1920x1080 (the box is grayed).

Also in Advanced display settings i have: Display 1: connected to Microsoft basic display adapter  (no mention of the dedicated AMD Radeon 520 which is installed)

Is 1920x1080 the only possible resolution or something is wrong? thank you

After installing windows 10, the drivers for it must be installed. Go here to get them--

https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/inspiron-15-3580-laptop/drivers

You will see if the best resolution is selected when you install the drivers from Dell. You must use Dell drivers since they are customized for your exact model.

thanks, you guided me to the solution. I had to install the intel UHD 620 driver in order to replace the microsoft basic display adapter.
