File Lengths Longer than 255 Characters
We're migrating CIF shares from a VNX5800 to an Isilon PowerScale, and some of the paths are longer than 255 characters. Our users have no issues working with these files on the VNX5800 CIF share, but getting the error "The File Name is Too Long" after it has been migrated to the Isilon. They are being forced to copy the files to their workstations and renaming them with shorter names before working on them. Our Isilon OneFS is at the latest version, 9.3.0.4.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Hello DELL-Sam L
I upgraded OneFS from 9.1 to 9.3 under advice from Dell tech support. This version allows increasing path and file lengths from 255 to 1024 characters each. But, after applying the change on the file share nothing has changed, 255 is still the limit. Also followed instructions on the following article with no success: Link

Hello jpalmero,
Did you get any errors when you created name length configuration?

Hi.
no errors. The isi name length command shows the file system is now 1024 bytes and 1024 characters. Still can’t go one byte over 255 length.
