Hello shadyhamad ,

Thank you for your question! After going over this a few times, I have a couple additional questions for you.

  1. Can you verify the user account you are using to join the domain has Administrator rights?
  2. Can you verify if the machine account for nas03 is ever created in the domain?
  3. Please verify the version of your Active Directory Server:
    1. OneFS supports Active Directory Windows 2003 R2 and later

Also, please be aware that OneFS version 6.5.x is no longer in primary support. I would recommend looking in to an upgrade on the cluster to a supported code branch should continued troubleshooting be needed with Support. Please check out the information available for upgrades from OneFS 6.5.x to current here on the forum:

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.

1- the user is a domain admin

2- the system nas03 was working perfectly fine on the same AD before

3- AD is win 2008 r2

4- we tried to connect to a different test domain same error

5- we can't upgrade firmware cause we have i9serries nodes

Hello,

Can we verify a couple more things?

  1. The domain admin account you are using has permission to create machine accounts in the OU, correct?
  2. Does the FQDN being entered match the FQDN of the servicing domain controller?
  3. Can we join the domain with authentication debug logging enabled?
    • On the cluster CLI:
      • # isi auth log-level
        • Record the default so we may change this back later
      • # isi auth log-level --set=debug
      • Make an attempt to join the domain
      • # isi auth log-level --set=

Once that is complete, please reply to this post with the information as you are able.
