Your computer power on and get to the Dell screen, therefore F2 and F12 should work. You sure doing it correctly ? Just to be sure:

1. Turn off Laptop

2. Power on Laptop, quickly tap F12(Diagnostic Test) continuously. Please don't wait for the Dell screen to start tapping, soon as you power on laptop, start tapping

Were you able to resolve this issue? I have a computer with the exact same problem. Nothing happens when I press F2 or F12 immediately after pressing the power button.

My computer is the same. When i power on, it light but screen ... black. And i can't press any key, such as F8, F12, F2, Del, Caps Lock...

I enter command prompt:

DISKPARK

LIST DISK

CLEAN DISK 0 

CLEAN DISK 1

When i restart, my computer is broken! Plz help me!
