600M will not boot after trying to flash BIOS
The motherboard on my 600M died so I bought a replacement from a D600. I then tried to flash the BIOS to 600M but had to force it using the /FORCETYPE command. It appeared to work but now the computer will not boot. When I hit the power button nothing ever appears on the screen. What have I done and how do I fix it?

I hate to say this but it sounds like it's time for another new motherboard.
It sounds like the flash did not complete and because of that, there is not a complete set of instructions in the BIOS, if any at all.

Next time you do a forced flash, use the floppy method in DOS instead of trying to do it from the HDD under Windows. I know there is a popular belief that floppies are no longer needed these days, but I have done many flashes that way-both forced and normal-without a bad one. If you have a laptop model with USB 2.0, a USB floppy is OK and I keep one with its cable for just that reason. Bay Wolf told it like it is; another M'board is needed.

You should not need to use FORCETYPE on 600M/D600. Are you absolutely sure you got a D600 mobo?
I have flashed the Latitude D600 BIOS on numerous Inspiron 600M motherboards and they always work without any nagging or errors - I never had to use FORCETYPE
Anyways, you need to buy a new motherboard because you just bricked it.
